The studio behind the site

Neon Panda Editorial

A small independent game studio that reviews the browser games it actually keeps coming back to.

Neon Panda Games is run by a small independent studio that builds mobile games for a living. The studio ships puzzle and reflex games for iOS and Android, which means its days are spent on difficulty curves, control feel and why a level that reads fine on paper falls flat in a player's hands. That is the lens every review on this site is written through.

The site started as an internal list. During breaks the team kept a note of browser games they opened and went back to, and a second, longer note of the ones they closed within a minute. This site is the first list, with the reasons written out: what each game asks of you, how the controls behave on a keyboard versus a phone, where the difficulty jumps, and whether it respects your time.

Every review here is written by the studio's editor after playing the game on a laptop and on a phone. Nothing is published that has not been opened, and a review is updated when a game changes or when a reader points out something it got wrong. Corrections and removal requests go to the address below and are handled by the people who wrote the reviews.

How games are chosen and how ratings work is written up in the editorial policy and in how we review browser games.
